Professor Bridget Griffen-Foley is an ARC Queen Elizabeth II Fellow and the Director of the Centre for Media History at Macquarie University. Her publications include The House of Packer (1999), Sir Frank Packer (2000), Party Games: Australian Politicians and the Media from War to Dismissal (2003), and Changing Stations: The Story of Australian Commercial Radio (2009). Bridget is now editing A Companion to the Australian Media, featuring over 220 contributors, to be published by Australian Scholarly Publishing in 2014. A member of the Library Council of New South Wales and the New South Wales Working Party of the Australian Dictionary of Biography, she serves on the editorial advisory boards of Media History, the Historical Journal of Film, Radio and Television and Media International Australia.
