Daniel Anlezark is a member of the English Department at The University of Sydney, where he has worked since 2006. He completed his undergraduate study at Macquarie University, before being awarded a Commonwealth Scholarship to undertake research at the University of Oxford. Before arriving at the University of Sydney he taught at the University of Oxford, Trinity College Dublin and Durham University. His research is in the field of Old English literature and language, with a particular interest in Old English biblical literature. He is an editor of Old English poetry and has published a number of books. In 2014 he was awarded an ARC Future Fellowship to research the relationship between literature and science in early medieval literature.
