Indigenous Studies and Courageous Conversations

Join us for an inspiring two-day Symposium to assess, debate and reveal what constitutes Indigenous Studies today and how First Nations’ perspectives are redefining the Australian Humanities.

The University of Queensland and The Australian Academy of the Humanities have partnered to invite some of Australia’s and the world’s leading Indigenous Studies scholars to participate in a critical examination of the discipline’s recent pasts, transformative practices, and potential futures.

We do hope you can join us for this in-person agenda-setting Symposium in September.

The two-day in-person program in central Brisbane is $500 (excl GST) including a three course dinner on Thursday 28 September.
