Biography

Chris Hilliard is Professor of History at the University of Sydney. He has published acclaimed and influential studies in the field of twentiethcentury British cultural and intellectual history. His books include The Bookmen’s Dominion (2006), To Exercise Our Talents (2006), English as a Vocation (2012) and The Littlehampton Libels (2017) . He is currently finishing a book on censorship in modern Britain and his new research is on housing and race in Britain and France since 1945.
