Biography

Professor Mayer is Associate Dean of Research at Australian Lutheran College, University of Divinity and holds honorary positions as a Research Fellow in the Department of Biblical and Ancient Studies, University of South Africa and the Australian Institute for Orthodox Christian Studies. In 2014 she was a Distinguished Visiting Professor at University of South Africa and in 2013 a Distinguished Visiting Researcher at Università d’Ottawa. She serves on the editorial boards of a number of international publications, including the series ‘Fathers of the Church’ and the ‘Journal of Early Christian Studies’.
