Biography

Terri-ann White is a Senior Honorary Fellow in the Vice-Chancellery at the University of Western Australia. She was Director of UWA Publishing between 2006 and 2020 where she was responsible for publishing more than 450 books. In 1999 she established the Institute of Advanced Studies, a cross-disciplinary centre at the University of Western Australia.

Terri-ann has been an independent bookseller, writer, editor and festival organiser. She is passionately interested in writing and expression that makes a difference. In 2021 she established a new independent publishing house, Upswell Publishing, based in Perth and building a list of distinctive literary works in fiction, poetry and narrative non-fiction.
