Biography

Eric Csapo is Professor of Classics in the School of Philosophical and Historical Inquiry at the University of Sydney. He was educated at the University of British Columbia, the American School of Classical Studies at Athens, and the University of Toronto. He was an Assistant and then Associate Professor of Classics in Toronto from 1989 to 2005. He is an expert on ancient literature and drama, with a particular interest in the history of the theatre in antiquity.
