Biography

Graeme Miles is Senior Lecturer in Classics at the University of Tasmania. He completed his PhD in Classics at the University of Western Australia in 2007 with a thesis on the works of Flavius Philostratus. After his PhD he was an Asialink Writer in Residence at the University of Madras and a research fellow at the University of Ghent, Belgium. In the intervening years he has published widely on Greek literature under the Roman Empire and on the Platonic tradition.

Alongside his scholarly activity, he is a widely published poet, who has produced three full-length collections and appeared in numerous journals and anthologies.
