Biography

Peta Tait is an Emeritus Professor in humanities at La Trobe University specialising in performance studies. She has published over 70 articles and chapters and 12 books including: the authored ‘Forms of Emotion: Human to Nonhuman in Drama, Theatre and Performance’ (Routledge 2022); the authored ‘Theory for Theatre Studies: Emotion’ (Bloomsbury 2021); the authored ‘Fighting Nature’ (Sydney University Press 2016); and the edited ‘The Great European Stage Directors volume one’ (2018). Her plays include: Eleanor and Mary Alice (Currency Press 2018) about Eleanor Roosevelt and Mary Alice Evatt and the co-written Mesmerized as Retrato de Augustine (Praxila, Brazil 2024).
