Martin Travers

Biography

Martin Travers did his B.A.in German and European Literature at the universities of East Anglia and Tuebingen (1971-75), graduating with First Class Honours. He then studied under Edward Timms at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge (1975-79), where he took his doctorate in 1980. He taught at Munich University (1979-81), before accepting the post of lecturer in Comparative Literature at Griffith University, Brisbane. He has been Visiting Fellow to Caius College, Cambridge (1985), and Visiting Lecturer in German at the universities of Bath and Bristol (1988). He is currently Associate Professor of German and European Literature in the School of Humanities, Griffith University.
