Biography

Barbara Creed is a Professor of cinema studies at the University of Melbourne. She is a successful author of numerous scholarly articles, chapters and books including The Monstrous-Feminine: Film, feminism and psychoanalysis; Pandora’s Box: Essays in film theory and Phallic Panic: Film, horror and the primal uncanny. She has spoken widely on film both nationally and internationally and is a member of editorial boards. She is a well-known film reviewer and media commentator.
