Biography

Ghassan Hage is Future Generation Professor of Anthropology and Social Theory at the University of Melbourne. He has teaching and research associations with a number of international institutions including Harvard, Universite de Montreal au Quebec, Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales, Paris and the American University of Beirut. His research interests are in the areas of nationalism and inter-cultural relations with a specific interest in Australia and the Middle-East. He is the author of White Nation (1998) and Against Paranoid Nationalism (2003)
