Biography

John Melville-Jones is Senior Honorary Research Fellow in Classics and Ancient History at the University of Western Australia. His research expertise includes Byzantine and Venetian History and Greek and Roman coins.

John Melville-Jones was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for significant service to tertiary education in Greek, Roman and Byzantine history and numismatics in January 2021.
