Biography
Professor Rubinstein is a former Professor of History at the University of Wales and a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society. He has published extensively on modern British history, especially the history of elites, and on Jewish history. He is currently continuing research on wealth-holding in modern Britain, and modern Jewish history. He has recently written a number of textbooks on modern British history, a history of genocide, and a study of the richest-ever Australians.
Appointed a Medal (OAM) in the General Division of The Order of Australia in the Queen’s Birthday 2022 Honours List.
From 1995 until 2011 h was Professor of History at the University of Wales- Aberystwyth in the U.K. Since 2013 he has lived in Melbourne, where he remains an active researcher and author in the fields of modern British history, modern Jewish history, and other subjects, including the Shakespeare Authorship question, and is a frequent contributor to Quadrant Magazine.
